No Tolland 24-Hour Release Feed
Tolland County does not publish an official county 24-hour jail release list. No county sheriff roster, recent-release page, or county booking-photo app was found in the official sources. This is a feature of Connecticut's system, not a broken county link. County governments no longer run local jails, while sentenced and accused people held in correctional custody are managed through the Connecticut Department of Correction. Osborn Correctional Institution and Cybulski Community Reintegration Center are state facilities in Somers. A release from either facility is a CT DOC event.
A person arrested in a Tolland County town may follow another route. A short stay can begin with municipal police or Connecticut State Police, move through a court lockup, and end with bond or a court order before CT DOC intake. That same-day event may never appear as a sentenced DOC release. The arresting agency and the Connecticut Judicial Branch then carry the useful record. Federal and immigration custody require their own systems. A state-facility transfer also is not a release to the community.

Start with the custody source, not a general name list. The CT DOC Inmate Information Search is the main online route for a person held at Osborn, Cybulski, or another Connecticut correctional facility. An inmate number is the best key. A name and date of birth can narrow a result. CT DOC says the database is updated daily, yet it also warns that status can change faster than the public display.
- Identify the custody type. Use CT DOC for state custody, the arresting police agency and court docket for a brief local arrest, and the federal system only when the case is federal.
- Search the state record. Check the CT DOC status, current location, release-date fields, supervision field, and any detainer notation. Do not read a blank date alone as proof of release.
- Check a notice source. Search Connecticut VINE for the same person and compare the agency and identity details before relying on a custody change.
- Review the court case. Use the Judicial Branch criminal case lookup for a daily docket, pending matter, or disposition tied to a recent appearance.
- Ask for the record. Contact the arresting agency for a bond release before DOC intake, or use CT DOC Public Information and FOI for a state release that remains unclear.

Tolland 24-Hour Release Fields
There are no county-feed fields to display because the feed itself does not exist. Fields such as a county booking number, county release time, bond, and booking photo must not be presented as if Tolland County publishes them. The useful fields come from CT DOC and the court case. Read several together. A status without a matching identity can belong to someone else, while an estimated date is not an actual release date.

CT DOC also distinguishes accused people from sentenced people. Incarceration does not by itself prove a conviction. For a person who left after bond or a court appearance, the case docket may explain the event more clearly than the statewide corrections record.

Tolland Bond Release Records
A same-day bond release can occur before a person enters CT DOC custody. In that situation, a search of Osborn or another prison record answers the wrong question. Check the Judicial Branch daily docket or pending case first. Then contact the police department that made the arrest. The Town of Tolland identifies Connecticut State Police Troop C as a local policing route, but the correct agency depends on where and by whom the arrest occurred.
The court record can show the case status and disposition. It may also show that the person appeared in Tolland Judicial District or Rockville Geographical Area 19. Police records can address arrest, bond, and transfer facts that never became a DOC sentence record. These channels must be reconciled. A court release does not prove that an unrelated detainer was cleared, and leaving a police lockup does not establish discharge from a separate state or federal sentence.

Tolland Release Record Requests

A narrow request helps the agency locate an existing record without asking it to create a new analysis.

Parole decision records may require the Board of Pardons and Paroles FOI channel. A police bond release belongs with the arresting agency. This split matters because Tolland County has no sheriff records unit that can collect every release event into one county report.
Why Tolland Has No Release Roster
The lack of a county roster is Tolland County's key release-data quirk. Connecticut abolished county government, and the old county sheriff model is not the state's modern corrections structure. Active Tolland County facilities are run by CT DOC. A transfer means custody may continue somewhere else.
